Q. What is a coalescent filter?

The filter is a patented design that separates oil from water and silt by making the oil film gather at the top of the filter and tank. After this oil separation process, waste oil removal can be done safely and easily

Q. Oil separator size guidance

The size will depend entirely on where the tank is being installed. Car washes and areas with more water volume will require a bigger oil separator. Bypass separators are designed to treat high volumes of water where not providing full treatment is an acceptable risk. We recommend contacting civils consultant and contractor to get a recommendation on the appropriate size.

Q.How do Vodaland separators work?

Oil, silt and stormwater enter the tank. Heavier sediments such as sand gravitate to the bottom of the separator while water and oil make their way through the coalescent filter. During this process oils and lighter liquids are pushed to the top of the tank while water is pushed down to the bottom and out of the tank through an outlet. Oil and lighter liquids are then periodically extracted from the separator to maintain its efficiency.
