Custom stainless steel drainage

Custom stainless steel drainage, sized to your project.

Most drainage problems on site start with a product that almost fits. The channel is a little too shallow, the run doesn't land on the outlet, or the material can't cope with what's going down the drain.

In a commercial kitchen, a brewery or a food processing plant, "almost" isn't good enough. Spills are acidic, fatty or hot; floors are washed down daily, and any standing water is a hygiene and slip risk. That's why we make custom stainless steel drainage, designed around your site and sized to suit it. Whether you need a modular channel system, a stainless slot drain, a run of gratings or something made from scratch, our team will design and manufacture it to fit.

What we can make in stainless steel

Our custom service covers far more than channels. We design and produce bespoke:

  • Gratings
  • Access covers
  • Drainage channels
  • Slot drains

Each can be made in 304 or 316 grade stainless steel. Our standard ranges, below, are a good starting point, and we can adapt or build from scratch where they don't fit.

Modular stainless channel systems

It's a range of stainless steel channel drains, slot drains, corners and sump units that bolt together into one continuous run. Each channel is made from 304 grade stainless steel as standard, with 316 grade available on request for harsher environments.

The range covers two main families:

  • LD100 channel drains, supplied with either a slotted anti-slip grate or a mesh grate
  • SL60 slot drains, for a slimmer, low-profile finish

Both are backed by matching corner channels, sump units with outlets and stainless end caps, so a full layout can be built from one system.

How the modular approach works

Every channel is a 1 metre section that connects end to end, so you build the run to the length your site needs. Sections are joined with the stainless steel bolts and nuts supplied in the box, one grate per channel.

The design does the hard work on flow:

  • Built-in 0.5% slope in each section, so water keeps moving towards the outlet
  • V-shaped bottom that speeds up flow and helps the channel self-clean
  • 15 depth options on the LD100 channel, from 80–85 mm up to 150–155 mm invert depth
  • Double-sided gratings, anti-slip on one side and smooth mesh on the other
  • Load rated B125 and M125

Corners, sump units and end caps with outlets let you turn the run, collect debris and connect to your pipework without leaving the system.

Stainless slot drains

Where you want drainage to all but disappear, a stainless slot drain gives a clean, narrow line in the surface. Our L-Type H100 slot drain pairs a 304 stainless steel slot upstand with a polypropylene channel base.

  • 17 mm slot opening
  • 100 mm upstand height, suiting slabs and blocks up to 80 mm
  • Internal depths from 42 mm to 166 mm
  • 1 metre sections that connect into longer runs
  • Load class C250 when fully encased in concrete

It suits pavements, driveways, car parks, pools, patios and level thresholds. Where a standard height or length won't work, we can make it to suit.

Where it's used

Our custom stainless work goes wherever ordinary drainage struggles, or where the finish matters as much as the flow:

On hygiene-critical sites, stainless construction handles the acids, oils and aggressive cleaning chemicals used every day. Outdoors, it gives a durable, clean-lined finish that sits well in high-end landscaping.

Why stainless steel?

Stainless steel resists corrosion, acids and oils, and its smooth surface is easy to clean, which makes it the natural choice for hygiene-critical floors. Choosing the right grade matters too:

  • 304 grade is our standard and suits most kitchens, breweries and processing areas.
  • 316 grade contains molybdenum, which gives it better resistance to chlorides and harsher chemicals. We can manufacture in 316 on request where the environment calls for it.
