• Note that sediment basket will only trap leaves, sand, and etc entering via top grate and is not suitable as a silt trap for soakaways
• 300x300 Gully drains are not trapped and will not eliminate foul smells
• We apply special emulsion paints to our cast iron grates to prevent corrosion. However, all cast iron grates regardless of the paint used undergo a natural oxidization process which results in rusting surfaces. The speed at which this happens varies greatly and depends on environmental conditions, use of chemicals, installation and general maintenance. 

Foul Air Trap

The 300x300 gully drain has 5 possible outlet positions (4 side, 1 underneath) and outlets can be combined to suit your layout.

This gully has an internal trap insert. The insert is made up of 3 sides of mesh, and 1 side a separating wall that acts as a trap. The foul air trap only works when a single side outlet is in use, and the insert's blank wall is aligned to sit directly behind that outlet.

Please note all cast iron grates are naturally prone to rusting due to the metal’s inherent properties. To help prevent rust, we apply a protective KTL coating which offers temporary resistance. However, the rate at which rust develops depends on several factors including humidity, traffic exposure, cleaning frequency, and maintenance practices.

Surface rust does not affect the strength or functionality of the grates. For customers wishing to maintain the original appearance, we recommend using a black coating spray as an additional protective measure.
