• We apply special emulsion paints to our cast iron grates to prevent corrosion. However, all cast iron grates regardless of the paint used undergo a natural oxidization process which results in rusting surfaces. The speed at which this happens varies greatly and depends on environmental conditions, use of chemicals, installation and general maintenance.

Vodaland's 300x300 plastic catch basins (also known as yard drains) have been perfected for the right balance between quality and cost. These are lightweight yet durable gullies that offer excellent point drainage. Each catch basin comes with removable sediment basket and a removable cast iron grate rated load class B125 - suitable for vehicle loads, driveways and more. Every catch basin features four outlet size options: 50mm, 75mm, 110mm and 160mm. Furthermore, Vodaland's yard drains are stackable allowing for deeper catchpits; risers are available separately. It is a versatile product and an excellent addition or alternative to traditional drainage channels.
