Please note all cast iron grates are naturally prone to rusting due to the metal’s inherent properties. To help prevent rust, we apply a protective KTL coating which offers temporary resistance. However, the rate at which rust develops depends on several factors including humidity, traffic exposure, cleaning frequency, and maintenance practices.
Surface rust does not affect the strength or functionality of the grates. For customers wishing to maintain the original appearance, we recommend using a black coating spray as an additional protective measure.

The PRO 150PC is a heavy-duty polymer concrete channel built from high-strength polymer concrete with reinforced galvanised steel edge rails, designed to resist cracking, chipping, and edge damage under repeated heavy traffic.
Each 1-metre channel section is complete with two half-metre cast iron slotted grates, rated Class D400, certified for loads up to 40 tonnes. That makes it well suited to HGV routes, loading bays, forecourts, industrial yards, and commercial hardstanding taking regular vehicle traffic.
